LILLIAN ALICE NINE


Lillian Alice Nine 85 of Temple died Friday November 20, 2009 in a Temple hospital.

Services for Mrs. Nine will be at 9AM Monday November 23, 2009 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with Rev. Robert Mattson officiating. Burial will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 11AM.

Mrs. Nine was born August 15, 1924 in Westernport, Maryland the daughter of Vernon and Margaret Heatley Green. She also graduated from Bruce High School in Westernport. She married Kenneth C. Nine September 1, 1945 in Westernport, Maryland. She was an active life member of the Ladies Auxiliary for VFW 4008 American Legion 133 and DAV 111. She was an honorary member of Pearl Harbor Survivors Association.

Mrs. Nine is survived by her husband Kenneth C. Nine of Temple three sons Kenneth Nine Jr. of Temple, Vernon Nine of Ft. Mills, South Carolina and Mark Nine of Austin and a daughter Becky Nine of Moffat as well as three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters.

A visitation will be held from 2-4 PM Sunday November 22, 2009 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
