Verna Lee Winsman


Verna Lee (Keeler) Winsman 83 of Temple died Friday December 18, 2009 at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday December 21, 2009 at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple with Rev. Ron Winsman officiating. A visitation will be held from 2-4 PM Sunday December 20, 2009 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple.

Mrs. Winsman was born January 10, 1926 in Brownwood, Texas the daughter of William Alonzo and Rosa Lee Evans Keeler. She married Louis Winsman Jr. January 10, 1942 who preceded her in death. Mrs. Winsman was a homemaker as well as a member of St. Christopher Episcopal Church in Killeen, Texas.

Mrs. Winsman was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband and three children Jon Scott Winsman, David Wayne Winsman and Linda Sharon Steffen.

Mrs. Winsman is survived by children Ginger Austin of Temple, Louis Winsman III of Charlotte, NC, Ronald Winsman of Temple, Texas, James Winsman of Mt. Olive, NC and Kay Wallace of Temple, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family requests the memorials be made to Churches Touching Lives for Christ 702 West Avenue G Temple, Texas 76504.

Scanio-Harper Funeral Home of Temple is in charge of arrangements.
