Angeline “Angie” Tobolka, age 99, of Temple died Saturday, December 26, 2009 in a local nursing center. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 29 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tobolka was born on May 28, 1910 in Granger to Charles and Anna (Zbranek) Horak. She married John Louis Tobolka on October 20, 1930. He preceded her in death in October, 1984. They were former longtime residents of Baytown.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Charlie, Joe and Marvin and a grandson, Rodney Stewart. Survivors include one son, James E. “Jimmy” Tobolka of Caldwell, one daughter, Gloria Stewart-Mauldin of Temple, one sister, Helen Pospisil of Taylor, one granddaughter, three grandsons, one step-grandson, two great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters, three step-great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Scott & White Cancer Center, Scott & White Hospice or St. Luke’s Catholic Church.
