Bernice Daude Matous, age 88, of Temple died Monday, July 19, 2010 in a local nursing home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 22, at First Lutheran Church in Temple with Kathi Johnson officiating. Private burial will be held at Seaton Cemetery.
Mrs. Matous was born on January 10, 1922 in Temple to Herman John and Tillie (Ruecker) Daude. She graduated from Temple High School and Temple Jr. College. She worked at the V. A. Hospital for 29 years retiring in 1971 as an agent cashier. She married Frank Matous on July 11, 1956. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2010. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Alma Foust and two brothers, Albert Daude and H. J. Daude. She is survived by her daughter, Kay Matous of Temple.
Memorial donations may be made to First Lutheran Church in Temple.
