Roman Lomas, age 51, of Temple died Friday, July 23, 2010 in a local hospital. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 24, at Wilson Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:30 PM Saturday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
Mr. Lomas was born on March 8, 1959 in Sanderson, Texas. He was reared and educated in Fort Stockton. He married Pam Tuerck on July 24, 1982. He had been a resident of the Temple area for the past 23 years. He worked for Knife River Construction.
He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Escalante, grandfather, Jesus Lomas and brother, Pedro Lomas. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Pam Lomas, two sons, Tank Lomas and Rodney Lomas and a daughter, Ashley Lomas all of Temple, his mother, Mary Escalante of Fort Stockton, his grandmother, Maria Lomas of Sanderson, two brothers, Albert Cantu of Sanderson, Jaime Cantu of Rockwall and a sister, Angie Rodriguez of Fort Stockton. Also surviving are his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Edna Tuerck of Temple.
