Biography
Funeral services for Beulah Ellen Bethke, 98, of Temple will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, in the Parlor, at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Jakie Shirley officiating.
Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bethke died Tuesday in Temple.
Mrs. Bethke was born June 22, 1914 in Salado to Hubert Vecie Johnson and Vera Wood Johnson. She attended school in Holland, Armstrong and Salado. She married Emil Daniel Bethke, Sr. in 1934. He preceded her in death October 20, 1970. She moved to Temple in 1943 from the Holland area. She was a homemaker and a care giver for children and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bethke was preceded in death by one son Robert Wayne Bethke.
Survivors include one son Emil Daniel Bethke Jr. and his wife Karen of Rogers; one daughter Linda Kay Phillips and her husband Bill of Temple; six grandchildren Robert Wade (Bobby) Bethke, Jessica Lynn Rhodes, Emil Daniel (Trey) Bethke III, Courtney Kay Robinson, Cameron Worth Phillips and Savannah Rose Bethke and seven great grandchildren Devante and Julianna Rhodes, Kyle and Reagan Bethke, Gage, Soren and Pax Robinson.
Memorials my be made to the charity of choice.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Friday in the Parlor at Immanuel Baptist Church.
Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
