Biography

Clifford Duane Seeley, age 86 of Temple, died Friday July 27, 2012 at a local hospital. Private family burial will be held in New York.

Mr. Seeley was born on July 15, 1926 in Groton, NY to the late Claude John Seeley and Bertha Jacobs Seeley. He attended schools in Ithaca, NY and graduated from high school there. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1952 and served during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal in 1954 at Ft. Hood, Texas. Mr. Seeley was a master mechanic and owned and operated Cliff’s Garage in Ithaca, NY for 60 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Mr. Seeley was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and six sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Gay Lee Mathews and husband Lewie of Newfield, NY; a son, Richard John Seeley and wife Wendy of Ithaca, NY; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
