Life Legacy
Cynthia Zuehlke Geers, 65, of Moffat died Wednesday at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday August 6, 2012 at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Patricia Dietrich officiating. Burial will follow at Moffat Cemetery.
Mrs. Geers was born October 23, 1946 in Temple to Charlie Clarence and Vera Wesa Pyeatt Zuehlke. She was a graduate of Temple High School and attended Temple College. She had worked at V & M Drug in Temple before working 25 years for the Child Protective Services. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and had served on the Little Angels Board and the Church Council. Mrs. Geers had been a board member of the Moffat Cemetery and after retiring did volunteer work with Child Protection Services.
Survivors include her husband, Don Geers of Moffat; two daughters, Angela McBride and husband William of Temple and Susie Tuerck and husband Larry of Belton; one sister, Sylvia Ann Kabler and husband Philip of Salado; four grandchildren, Gilbert Clayton Knodel, Charles Allen Knodel-Tuerck, Megan Briana McBride, and Logan Allen McBride. She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Jane Gutierrez.
Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
