Jaxine Helen Weaver, age 77, of Temple, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 02, 2006 after several years of various illnesses. She passed away in her home in Temple where she had been cared for by her loving husband of 55 years. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 4, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2407 W. Ave. P, Temple with Rev. Chris Hughes officiating.
Mrs. Weaver was born June 20, 1929 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jack and Elodie Yeagle of Ada, Oklahoma. She graduated from Ada High School and attended the Chickasha School for Women in Chickasha, Oklahoma and later graduated from the Hillcrest School of Nursing. She was the second in three generations of nursing, with her mother first and her daughter, Lori Weaver last.
She met and married George H. Weaver of Tulsa and they resided in Tulsa for several years before George retired and they moved to Matlacha, Florida where they lived for eight years. They later purchased a recreational vehicle and traveled the United States for nine years, settling in Temple when her health began to fail. They have been residents of Temple for seven years where both were volunteers. Jaxine received her "two hundred hour" pin from the Veterans Administration. She was also active in the Newcomer's Club where she met many close friends.
She is survived by her husband, George, three daughters, Lori Weaver of Tulsa, Joni Baxter and husband, John of Houston, Texas and Tami Weaver of Kerrville, Texas. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer Wenger and Cody Egger all of Tulsa.
